Antique Flooring Old Growth Flooring

The reclaimed material used in all of our antique flooring is salvaged from old structures slated for dismantling. We source each species from one of our salvage operations that is located in an area known to produce the highest quality material for that particular species. Our antique material comes in lengths up to 14’ and an average length of 6-8’.

We start by sourcing our newly sawn material from the most reputable lumber mills located in an area known for having the optimum growing conditions to produce the most stable and highest quality material for that particular species. All of our old growth species are kiln dried before being milled on state of the art machinery to ensure the highest tolerances in the industry. We deliver our new plank flooring acclimated to Colorado’s dry climate with an average moisture content below 6%, which means little or no site acclimation is necessary. Our old growth material also comes end-matched in lengths up to 14’ and an average length of 6-8’ depending on the species.

We grade our wide plank flooring in two grades: Natural grade which will have some worm holes, mineral streaks, open knots and checks. These can be defected out or left in to keep the average length longer and the floor more rustic. Then there is Premium grade which will have small closed knots and very few if any checks and other imperfections. This is considered furniture grade material.
